PUT THE PIECES INTO ONE RECORDING.
Audio Merger joins 2 to 8 audio files end to end into a single recording. Files are merged in upload order: the first file you upload goes at the start, the last at the end. It’s used to turn an interview recorded in parts, an audiobook split into chapters, a podcast’s intro music plus the main episode, or a playlist into one file.
Recordings from different devices usually have different sample rates and channel layouts; the tool first brings them all to a common format (48 kHz, stereo) and then joins them. That way a voice note recorded on a phone and a studio recording sit side by side without trouble. If you like, you can add a smooth transition (crossfade) between pieces: the ending piece fades out while the next fades in. It is off by default, in which case the files follow one another directly. The output can be MP3, Opus, Vorbis, FLAC, WAV or M4A. If the pieces’ volume levels differ a lot, you can even them out afterwards with “Audio Volume Normalizer”.
From start to finish
- Upload your files in order. Choose between 2 and 8 audio files. The order is the upload order; add the first piece first.
- Choose the output format. MP3 at 192 kbps for general use; FLAC or WAV for a lossless result.
- Join and download. The total duration appears on screen. Download the result; the copies on the server are deleted when you leave the tool.
Frequently asked questions
Can I join files in different formats?
Yes. You can join an MP3, an M4A and a WAV in the same run; they’re all brought to a common format and become one file in the output format you choose.
Is a gap or transition added between pieces?
No gap is added. The transition is off by default; if you give the smooth-transition setting a duration (for example 2 seconds), the pieces overlap by that much and blend into each other. When it is off, the files follow one another directly and any silence at the start or end of a piece is kept too.
Can I add the audio of a video?
This tool accepts audio files. First turn the video’s audio into a separate file with “Extract Audio from Video”, then add it here.
Does my file stay on the server?
No. Your file reaches the server only to be processed and is deleted when the job is done; the output is deleted too once you download it and leave the tool. You don't need an account, a name or an email address, and your files are never sent to a third-party service. It is free to use: we set no hourly or daily quota on the number of jobs, we don't make you watch an ad before processing, and we add no watermark to the output.
