TURN THE PRESENTATION INTO A SHAREABLE PDF.
PowerPoint → PDF turns a presentation into a PDF that looks the same on every device. With the default “Keep layout”, the presentation is converted by the open-source LibreOffice: each slide becomes a PDF page with its background, colours, pictures, charts and fonts. Besides PPTX, old PowerPoint (.ppt) and OpenDocument (.odp) files open too. Animations, transitions and speaker notes don't go into the PDF.
“Text only” sets out the text of the slides in a readable document: each slide's title becomes a large heading and the text inside becomes bullet points. There are two layouts: “Each slide on a separate page” and “Slides one below another (summary)”; page size, orientation and point size are also chosen on this path. It suits lecture notes or a presentation summary. “Keep layout” takes files of up to 50 MB, “Text only” up to 200 MB. You can upload up to 8 documents at once; all are processed with the same settings, and several files download as a single ZIP.
From start to finish
- Upload your PowerPoint file. PPTX, PPT or ODP; drag it in or choose it.
- Pick the conversion path. For the look of the slides, “Keep layout”. For a text summary, “Text only”; the layout and page settings then appear.
- Convert and download. Download the PDF once it is ready. The copy on the server is deleted when you leave the tool.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the design of my slides missing?
With “Keep layout” the design, pictures and charts go into the PDF exactly as they are. If the design doesn't show, “Text only” is most likely selected; that path carries only the text.
What is “one under the other (summary)” for?
It lines all the slides up one after the other with no page breaks. A presentation of dozens of slides turns into a readable summary of a few pages; it is ideal for lecture notes or minutes.
Are speaker notes moved?
No. On both paths only what is on the slides goes into the PDF; speaker notes are not carried over.
Does my file stay on the server?
No. Your file reaches the server only to be processed and is deleted when the job is done; the output is deleted too once you download it and leave the tool. You don't need an account, a name or an email address, and your files are never sent to a third-party service. It is free to use: we set no hourly or daily quota on the number of jobs, we don't make you watch an ad before processing, and we add no watermark to the output.
