HEIC → JPG
Converts HEIC images to JPG.

HEIC → JPG turns HEIC (HEIF) files, the default photo format of the iPhone and iPad, into the JPG that every device opens. Windows computers, Android phones, older editing programs and most web forms do not accept HEIC; JPG solves that in a single step. The quality has five levels; for photos, High (88%) or Very high (95%) gives the result closest to the source.
HEIC is only read, it is not produced as output; the format rests on the HEVC patent pool. EXIF information (date taken, location, device) is deleted by default; if you want to keep it for a photo archive, switch the option on. Because HEIC files are smaller than JPG, the output grows somewhat. If you want transparency or lossless output, use the “HEIC → PNG” tool. You can upload up to 20 images at once; they are all processed with the same settings, and several files download as a single ZIP.
From start to finish
- Upload your HEIC file. Drag the file in or select it. .heic and .heif are accepted; the dimensions are read.
- Choose the quality and the EXIF preference. High or Very high for photos; keep the EXIF if you need the shooting details.
- Convert and download. The JPG is ready within seconds. Download it; the copy on the server is deleted when you leave the tool.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make the iPhone shoot JPG directly?
Yes: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. But HEIC gives a smaller file and better quality; for most people, shooting HEIC and converting with this tool when needed is more efficient.
What happens to a Live Photo?
Only the still frame is taken as JPG; the moving part is a video and is not carried over in this conversion.
Does the quality drop?
Going from HEIC to JPG is a lossy re-encoding, but at High and above the difference cannot be picked out by eye. If you want no loss at all, “HEIC → PNG” gives lossless output; the file gets bigger.
Does my file stay on the server?
No. Your file reaches the server only to be processed and is deleted when the job is done; the output is deleted too once you download it and leave the tool. You don't need an account, a name or an email address, and your files are never sent to a third-party service. It is free to use: we set no hourly or daily quota on the number of jobs, we don't make you watch an ad before processing, and we add no watermark to the output.
