FIND THE OBJECT, REMOVE IT, FILL THE GAP.
Remove Object from Image finds and deletes the object inside the rectangle you mark on a photo. The tool first separates the object from the background inside that rectangle using GrabCut, deletes only the pixels the object covers and preserves the background around it. The gap is filled first at a coarse and then at a fine scale, so the transitions look more natural even over wide areas.
The area is marked with four values given as percentages from the left and top edges of the image. “Object detection rounds” (0–8) is how many times the separation is refined; if you pick 0, no object is looked for and the whole rectangle is removed. “Expand the mask” (0–12 pixels) makes the removed area slightly larger; raise it if the object's shadow or an outline is left behind. The fill method can be “Fluid” (a soft transition) or “Fast marching” (a sharp edge). It gives good results on flat and nearly flat surfaces; on complex patterns it leaves traces. The output is PNG, WebP or JPG; images of up to 60 MB can be uploaded.
From start to finish
- Upload your image. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP or TIFF; up to 60 MB.
- Mark the area and set it up. Enter the rectangle that covers the object as percentages. If a shadow is left behind, raise the mask growing to 4–6 pixels.
- Remove it and check. Look at the result in the preview; if a trace is left, change the fill method and try again, then download it.
Frequently asked questions
How wide should I make the rectangle?
Wide enough to contain the object completely, but no wider than needed. Because the tool separates the object from the background inside the rectangle, leaving a little margin helps; if you make it too tight, part of the object can be taken for background and the wrong thing gets deleted.
Which fill method should I pick?
Fluid on surfaces with soft transitions, such as sky or a wall; Fast marching where the edges have to stay sharp. If you are not sure, try both and compare them.
Does this tool make up new content?
No. No generative artificial intelligence model is used; the gap is worked out from the pixels around it. That is why it cannot redraw complex patterns.
Does my file stay on the server?
No. Your file reaches the server only to be processed and is deleted when the job is done; the output is deleted too once you download it and leave the tool. You don't need an account, a name or an email address, and your files are never sent to a third-party service. It is free to use: we set no hourly or daily quota on the number of jobs, we don't make you watch an ad before processing, and we add no watermark to the output.
