Thumbnail Resizer prepares cover concepts from the 1 to 6 images you upload. Each image is cropped intelligently to the size you choose, without distorting its proportions: if the image contains faces, the framing first takes them in together with hair and chin; the rest is decided by the image's interest map (edge density, contrast and colors that stand out from their surroundings), and the framing is chosen to cover the most interesting region best. The size options are YouTube video cover (1280 × 720), Instagram square post (1080 × 1080), vertical story for Instagram, TikTok and Shorts (1080 × 1920) and full HD wide cover (1920 × 1080).
The color concepts you pick are then applied to each crop: natural, high contrast, warm tone, cool tone and black and white. “Vignette” (a vignette) draws the eye to the middle and makes the text you add on top easier to read. All the concepts come down in a single ZIP file; you can pick one of them and add your text in a design program. To be clear: this tool does not add text and does not make up new images; the concepts are crops and color work on the image you uploaded. The output can be PNG, WebP or JPG.
From start to finish

Frequently asked questions
Does it add text to the thumbnail?
No. The tool does the cropping and the color work; you add the title and the text in a design program. The edge darkening prepares the area where the text will be read.
What is the crop chosen on?
Faces come first: if the image contains faces, the framing takes them in together with hair and chin. The interest map decides the rest: regions where the edges are dense, the contrast is high and the color stands out from its surroundings come to the fore.
How many files come out?
The number of images you upload times the number of concepts you pick. For 3 images and 3 concepts, 9 thumbnails come down.
Does my file stay on the server?
No. Your file reaches the server only to be processed and is deleted when the job is done; the output is deleted too once you download it and leave the tool. You don't need an account, a name or an email address, and your files are never sent to a third-party service. It is free to use: we set no hourly or daily quota on the number of jobs, we don't make you watch an ad before processing, and we add no watermark to the output.
