CLICK, AND GET THE COLOUR CODE.
Image Colour Picker gives you the colour of the point you click on an image. As you move the mouse, the colour under the cursor appears instantly; a magnifier enlarges the area around the cursor and frames the pixel in the middle, so you can hit a single pixel even in a large photo. Every colour you click is added to a list and shown with its HEX code, RGB value and HSL value. You can remove any colour from the list, or copy them all to the clipboard with one button.
This tool runs entirely in your browser: the image is not uploaded to the RUPO Studio server, and it keeps working while the page is open even if your internet connection drops. The colour is read from the image’s real pixel, not from the scaled-down version on screen, so you never get a tone muddied by scaling. PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP can be opened. To find an image’s dominant colours automatically, use “Extract Colour Palette”; to convert a HEX code to RGB and HSL, use “HEX → RGB”.
From start to finish
- Open your image. Drag and drop or choose the file. The image opens in your browser and is not uploaded anywhere.
- Collect colours. Move the mouse, find the pixel with the magnifier and click. Each click adds a colour to the list.
- Copy. Use “Copy selected” to put the HEX and RGB values on the clipboard; clear the list and move on to another image.
Frequently asked questions
The colour code looks slightly different from what I see. Why?
The tool reads the actual value stored in the file. Your screen’s colour profile, brightness or night mode can display the same value differently; the value to use in your design is the one in the file.
What is the difference between HEX, RGB and HSL?
All three write the same colour differently. HEX (#1a73e8) is used on the web and in design programs, RGB (26, 115, 232) in code and editing programs, while HSL expresses the colour as hue, saturation and lightness.
How many colours can I pick?
The list holds up to 24 colours at a time. If you need more, copy the list, clear it and carry on.
Is the data I enter sent to the server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type or add is sent to the RUPO Studio server. It keeps working while the page is open even if your internet connection drops. No account needed. It is free to use: there is no hourly or daily limit, and we don't make you watch an ad before you see the result.
