Mirror Video
Flips the picture horizontally or vertically.

PUT THE MIRROR IMAGE RIGHT.
Mirror Video flips the picture on one axis: horizontal mirroring swaps left and right, vertical mirroring swaps top and bottom, and choosing both makes the picture look as if it had been rotated 180 degrees. The most common use is videos filmed with the front camera: the phone shows a mirror image on screen, but the recording sometimes keeps the opposite, so text on a T-shirt or a sign in the background comes out reversed. Horizontal mirroring fixes that in one step.
MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM and M4V files can be uploaded up to 10 GB; the output is encoded as MP4 (H.264), WebM (VP9) or AV1 at three quality levels. Resolution, duration and audio do not change. Mirroring is not rotation: to turn the frame, use the “Rotate Video” tool; by running the two tools one after the other you can get whichever orientation you want. You can upload up to 8 videos at once; they are all processed with the same settings, and several files download as a single ZIP.
From start to finish
- Upload your video. Drag the file in or select it. Check in the player which axis the picture is reversed on.
- Choose the axis. Horizontal, vertical or both, then the output format and the quality. Horizontal is enough to fix a front camera.
- Flip and download. Watch the progress. Download the finished video; the copy on the server is deleted when you leave the tool.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between flipping and rotating?
Rotating turns the frame around an axis; text stays readable and only the orientation changes. Mirroring flips the picture; text reads backwards and an object on the right moves to the left. Front camera problems are fixed by mirroring, a video shot sideways by rotating.
Do dance and exercise videos need mirroring?
In instructional videos the trainer's image is often mirrored so viewers can follow the movement easily: when the trainer raises their right arm, the viewer sees their own right on screen. Horizontal mirroring does exactly that.
Does the quality drop?
The picture is re-encoded; at the High or Balanced level the difference is not visible to the eye. The pixel count, the duration and the audio stay the same.
Does my file stay on the server?
No. Your file reaches the server only to be processed and is deleted when the job is done; the output is deleted too once you download it and leave the tool. You don't need an account, a name or an email address, and your files are never sent to a third-party service. It is free to use: we set no hourly or daily quota on the number of jobs, we don't make you watch an ad before processing, and we add no watermark to the output.
