TIE THE PIECES INTO ONE STORY.
Merge Video joins between two and twenty videos end to end in upload order and gives you a single file. The sources do not have to be in the same format: MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM and M4V can be uploaded together. Clips with different resolutions and frame rates are brought to a common size; you can leave that common size to follow the first video, or fix it at 1080p, 720p or 480p. Silence is put in place of a clip that has no audio, so nothing drifts out of sync.
For the output format you choose MP4 (H.264), which opens everywhere, WebM (VP9) for the web, or AV1 for the smallest file; quality has three levels. The frame rate is fixed at 24, 25, 30 or 60. You can upload up to 10 GB in total; progress appears on screen, the result is downloaded, and it is deleted from the server when you leave the tool.
From start to finish
- Upload the clips in order. The merge order is the upload order, so add the clip that comes first before the others. You can select 2–20 files, and different formats and sizes are not a problem.
- Choose the common size and the format. Set the common resolution, frame rate, output format and quality. If the clips are already the same size, “Based on the first video” is the fastest and cleanest choice.
- Join and download. When the job finishes, a single file is ready and its duration and size are shown. Download it or upload a new set.
Frequently asked questions
Can I merge portrait and landscape videos together?
Yes, but the result has to fit into one frame: a clip that does not match the common size is scaled. If you equalise the framing with the “Aspect Ratio Converter” before adding portrait clips to a landscape video, you avoid bars and cropping.
Is there a transition effect between clips?
No. Clips are joined directly end to end, with a cut. That is the cleanest starting point for editing: you can open the result in any program and add transitions there.
Will the audio drift?
No. Every clip is brought to the common frame rate and the common sample rate, and a clip with no audio gets silence for its full length. That keeps the audio of the following clips lined up with the picture.
Does my file stay on the server?
No. Your file reaches the server only to be processed and is deleted when the job is done; the output is deleted too once you download it and leave the tool. You don't need an account, a name or an email address, and your files are never sent to a third-party service. It is free to use: we set no hourly or daily quota on the number of jobs, we don't make you watch an ad before processing, and we add no watermark to the output.
