TAKE EVERY SINGLE FRAME.
The Frame Extractor exports the frames in the range you set, one by one, as images. You choose the time interval from ready steps (from 0.10 s to 5 s) or type a custom value; an interval equal to the frame duration (0.033 s for 30 frames per second) takes every frame. With start and end times you narrow the section, and how many frames will come out is calculated before it starts. MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI, WebM and M4V files can be uploaded up to 10 GB.
Frames are saved as PNG (lossless), JPG or WebP at the quality you choose. With “Pick the sharpest frame in each interval” switched on, every frame in the interval is scanned and the sharpest is kept; blurry frames are dropped. The video is read twice, so it takes longer. The result appears in a gallery: you enlarge frames, select them, delete the ones you do not need, and download your selection as a ZIP or send it to the “Image Quality Enhancer” tool. For animation reference, motion analysis, sprite production and stop-motion work it is far faster and lossless compared with screenshots.
From start to finish
- Upload your video. Drag the file in or select it. The frame rate, duration and resolution are read.
- Choose the interval, the section and the format. Set one frame every how many seconds, the start and end, and PNG / JPG / WebP along with the quality. The number of frames updates instantly.
- Extract the frames and download. Press “Extract Frames”; the frames drop into the gallery. Save your selection together or send it to the enhancement tool.
Frequently asked questions
What do I write to get 30 frames in a second?
Write 0.033 in the custom value field (1 ÷ 30). For a 60-frames-per-second video, 0.0167. The tool shows the video's frame rate as you upload; writing an interval smaller than that produces no extra frames, it repeats the same frame.
What happens if I extract thousands of frames?
They all go into the gallery and can be downloaded as a ZIP; the processing time is proportional to the number of frames. Narrowing the section with a start and end and choosing JPG or WebP will shorten it.
Are the frames at the original resolution?
Yes. Frames are decoded at the video's own resolution and saved that way; no scaling is applied. If you choose PNG, the decoded frame is stored exactly; with JPG and WebP the quality setting comes into play.
Does my file stay on the server?
No. Your file reaches the server only to be processed and is deleted when the job is done; the output is deleted too once you download it and leave the tool. You don't need an account, a name or an email address, and your files are never sent to a third-party service. It is free to use: we set no hourly or daily quota on the number of jobs, we don't make you watch an ad before processing, and we add no watermark to the output.
