A LOOK IN ONE CLICK.
Video Filter applies a ready-made color look to your video. There are seven choices: Black and white removes color altogether; Sepia gives the brown tone of old photographs; Cool shifts the picture towards blue and Warm towards orange; Faded lowers the saturation and contrast for a light vintage feel; Vivid raises the colors and the contrast; and Negative inverts every color.
All the looks are built with ffmpeg's own color filters; no outside LUT file or asset belonging to anyone else is used. That is why you can use the output in commercial work without a copyright problem. If you want to set the values yourself — brightness, contrast and saturation one by one — the “Video Color Adjust” tool is separate.
From start to finish
- Upload your video. Drag or choose your file. MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM and M4V files can be uploaded, up to 10 GB.
- Choose the look. One of seven ready-made looks. If you are not sure, Black and white and Faded give the safest results; Negative is right only if you want a special effect.
- Apply and download. Choose the output format and quality level, then start the job. Download the finished video.
Frequently asked questions
Can I remove the filter later?
No. The look is burned into the pixels; there is no separate filter layer in the output file. Keep your source file — if you change your mind, upload it again and try a different look.
Can I enter my own values?
Not in this tool, the looks are ready-made. If you want to set brightness, contrast, saturation and gamma one by one, use the “Video Color Adjust” tool. You can also apply the two one after the other.
Can I stack two filters?
One look is applied per pass. To stack them, upload the output again and apply the second look — but every pass means re-encoding, and by the third or fourth the quality drops visibly.
Does my file stay on the server?
No. Your file reaches the server only to be processed and is deleted when the job is done; the output is deleted too once you download it and leave the tool. You don't need an account, a name or an email address, and your files are never sent to a third-party service. It is free to use: we set no hourly or daily quota on the number of jobs, we don't make you watch an ad before processing, and we add no watermark to the output.
